lyrics

Awaken to a world of your choosing. Logic is yours for the misusing.
I, not trying to intervene or interact, hold my breath and tally tabs.
Mistakenly taken stabs and slipping fingers, still she grasps,
Oh, what little that she has; all the more brittle the longer she lasts.
Watching in eager anticipation, slightly better, I’m in rapture.
Exclusively eluding capture. The great divide utters an answer.
As to her denial, I run as well, with better reasons, out of my own hell.
Leading now, don’t look down. She saw the ground and so, she fell.
I wish her well, but still I tell you; I cracked a smile each time she fell through.
Dealing blows while plummeting, she rejects one’s sympathy.
Apathy would be more fitting for the face on which she’s spitting.
Not the face on which she’s sitting, I disgrace the lie she’s living.

You’re not even real. Keep trying.
No wait… come to my sorry instant and see;
You could be real, Child. If only you could believe.

False-tongued sycophant, immaculate and impotent;
Go now, run away. Turn to stone. Now dawn breaks.
Sun ascend. Evil sleeps. Hung over in their sheets.
Walk the earth free to speak. Smile like cherub cheeks.
Wholesome to the bone, innocent to the unknown,
Well-adjusted child of love, full heart, live it up.
Go ahead and give it up. It’s gonna happen soon enough.
It might as well be up to you what way the day breaks through.
Dark days on the way, the sun is out. It’s time to play.
Don’t bother to stop and pray. God knows what you think.
Life and death are in a race. So get your heart in place.
You either do something great or you’re gone without a trace.
