The universe, they say, is just a bead in a never-ending string of pearls.
You can close your eyes and in your mind, you go to other worlds.
Some people call it strange to think of places other than the place in which they stand they can hold it in their hand.
They scheme a little scene the likes of which they’ve always seen.
They like the way it is cause that’s the way it’s always been.
Sometimes I think that I can understand just what they mean.
If only anything could ever be just what it seems.

I want to fly away the way I do in dreams.
I want to see the world from outside of where it leans.
I want to go fast like waves making beams.
I want divine light to show me what the fuck it means.

Desire I a higher light.

The ground is like flypaper. The walls are like skyscrapers.
I’m willing and I’m able, but I’m here wearing my label.
All my ambitions got deranged trying to make that world change.
I’ve got to get that set sane to set sail to a new plane.
Getting stronger, I’m restrained. Lugging a whole life detained.
Burn you down on display, for every God has his day.
You either give back its way, or the world collect’s its pay.
Digging down in the dark grey, I learned to love life this day.
